Welcome

Do You Know This Man?

This suspect stole credit cards from Pro Health, 320 S. St. Joseph St. in South Bend, and charged $20,000 in computers, electronics and diamond jewelry at Best Buy, HH Gregg, and Macy's.

There are times when people with information on a crime are reluctant to get involved with the police, often due to fear or apathy.  The South Bend Area Crime Stoppers program began in 1983 to address this issue.

Crime Stoppers is operated by a Police Coordinator and a volunteer Board of Directors, and is funded entirely by tax deductibe donations.  A  key element to the success of Crime Stoppers is the media.  The scope of the South Bend Area Crime Stoppers program was determined by the Michiana viewing area, which encompasses 13 counties in northern Indiana and southwest Michigan.  Contact us if you have information on a felony crime or fugitive in these counties:

  • St. Joseph
  • Elkhart
  • Laporte
  • Marshall
  • Kosciusko
  • Starke
  • LaGrange
  • Pulaski
  • Porter
  • Berrien, MI
  • VanBuren, MI
  • Cass, MI
  • St. Joseph, MI

Crime Stoppers provides secure Web Tips and dedicated phone lines to allow those with information on a crime to relay that information to Law Enforcement while remaining completely anonymous.

Anyone who provides Crime Stoppers with information that leads to the arrest or indictment of a felony suspect, the location of a felony fugitive, or the recovery of stolen property will be eligible for a cash reward of up to $1000.

Join the thousands of members of the Michiana Community who have done the right thing and called Crime Stoppers.  Together, their calls have led to the arrest of over 6,600 felony offenders.  Become a partner with Crime Stoppers.  Help us assist law enforcement in the fight against crime in our neighborhoods.

Here are some examples of tips that earned rewards in July:

11 felony fugitives arrested in St. Joseph, Starke, Cass and Berrien Counties.

8 arrested by Metro Special Operations and State Police in narcotics case.

One arrested in Pulaski County for marijuana grow operation.

Two arrested by Mishawaka Police for bank robbery.

All reward money comes from donations.  Your contribution will help take felony offenders off the streets, and it's tax deductible.  We need your help.  Consider becoming a partner in our fight against crime.
